Christmas day my dad surprised me by taking me to go see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug!  It was so good!

We did some shopping the day after Christmas...

...but then I got sick :(

December 13-14 2013

 Yesterday, my friend Kate had a super fun costume party  for her birthday!

Me and Kate's sister Alix (I'm wearing my grandmother's 40's wedding dress, and Alix is a Victorian lady)

Laurabeth and the birthday girl! (Laurabeth was kinda going for a Great Gatsby-ish look.)

Sisters Jan and Danielle (Jan came as Audrey Hepburn and Danielle as a waitress)

Laurabeth and Kate with Maggie, who is Lady Rowena from Ivanhoe

Sisters Rachel, Courtney and Erica (Rachel as Caroline Ingalls, Courtney as Nancy Drew in The Secret of the Old Clock, and Erica as Courtney! LOL)

Caroline was Meg from The Paperman (it's a Disney short)

Whitney was Isabelle from Hugo

...and Kelsey was Ms. Potter (Beatrix Potter)

I slept over, and in the morning we woke up to a winter wonderland!

For breakfast we had AMAZING cinnamon pull-apart bread :D

...and on the way home there was a car pileup that covered the road, so we had to go home the back way!

...and now I'm just about to head out for an epic snowball fight!

Favorite Winter Nail Polish?  Hard, but either Sally Hansen's Tough Love or China Glaze's Frostbite

Favorite Winter Lip Product? Burt's Bees Rhubarb lip shimmer. It's such a gorgeous color!

Most worn Winter clothing piece? I just recently got this, but I love my super comfy, soft shirt that says "keep calm and believe in Santa" on it ;)

Most worn winter accessories? ahhh! I have no idea!

Favorite Winter scent/candle? Well, I LOVE the smell of Christmas trees, and I recently got a candle that literally smells like our local Christmas tree farm! (It's Fresh Balsam from B&BW)

Favorite Winter Beverage? I love Starbuck's Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, and Peppermint Mocha, but I also really like Egg Nog.

All time favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?  Man, this is hard! I really love the oldies, like Holiday Inn and Bundle of Joy. And of course, A Christmas Carol.

Favorite Christmas/Holiday song? I like Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You", but I LOVE Carol of the Bells. Amazing.

Favorite Holiday food/treat? OK, WAY too hard! One thing I like are the candy cane oreos at Trader Joes ;)

What is your favorite Christmas decoration this year?  I am obsessed with the mini pink tree in my room  right now :)

What's at the top of your Christmas list? Either combat boots or an Aeropostale gift card. hint. hint.  JUST KIDDING!

What are your plans for the Holidays this year? Well, Christmas eve and day will be spent with my mom's side of the family!

 What is your favorite Disney movie?  That is SO hard! I love Tangled, but if you are talking about oldies, I'm obsessed with Aladdin ;D

Can you whistle using your fingers?  No :(

When doing laundry, do you separate loads (lights/darks, delicates, etc.) or throw everything together?  Usually separate.

Morning Coffee

 Lots of girls my age don't like coffee, but I surprised myself 4 years ago  by LOVING coffee when I tried it!

I love fixing it in the morning before school ^

People's Choice Awards Fashion Recap 2013

This is my 50th blog post!  So, in honor of that, I am going to do yet another fashion recap, since you guys seem to like them  ;)


Taylor Swift

Yikes!  Obviously I would say yes were it not for the immodesty of this dress. (Sorry if I annoy you guys with this, but it's just way to revealing!)   However, Taylor hasn't really worn that much white on the red carpet, and I think the color looks nice on her.

Chloe Grace Moretz
   YES
Now, normally, I don't like this color, but this dress is really cute, and I love bright prints!  ♥

Demi Lovato
   YES
She is SO gorgeous!  This dress could use some straps, but this color looks amazing, and so does her hair and makeup.  ♥

Lea Michele
    YES
Lea is beautiful, and I absolutely love hot pink dresses!  On tan girls, I think, they look especially good.  ♥


Jennifer Lawrence

This is a little different, but a pretty, stylish look, and her makeup looks really nice.  ♥

I feel like this is another one of those dresses that looks really cool from far away, but when I take a closer look,  I don't like it as much.  But her makeup and hair are quite gorgeous!

This is very different from what Katy usually wears! But I like it.  It's simple, modest, and very pretty.  ♥

Even though it has no straps, this dress is still very modest and pretty. Her hair is cute, and I love her natural-looking makeup.

This dress is so pretty and elegant! Ever since I saw Julianne in a Proactive commercial (LOL!)  I have thought she was just so pretty,  and I think this is her best look yet.
